You are looking for a personalised therapeutic space where you can feel genuinely heard, supported, and guided in a way that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to you.
Prenatal Group
Support through pregnancy in a safe and understanding space
Our prenatal group is designed to support expectant mothers through the emotional, mental, and psychological changes that can arise during pregnancy.
Pregnancy can be a deeply meaningful time, but it can also bring uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, identity shifts, anxiety, and a need for support that is often overlooked. This small group offers a warm, non-judgemental environment where participants can feel less alone, connect with others in a similar stage of life, and learn practical tools to support their mental wellbeing.
Sessions are facilitated by a psychologist and combine gentle psychoeducation, reflective discussion, and evidence-based strategies to help you feel more informed, supported, and emotionally prepared for the transition into motherhood.
The prenatal group includes:
A supportive and welcoming small-group environment
Weekly wellbeing check-ins
Psychoeducation on relevant perinatal mental health topics
Practical tools and coping strategies to take into daily life
Facilitated discussion and shared reflection
Opportunities for connection with others in a similar season of life
This may be a good fit for you if…
You are pregnant and wanting emotional support, practical tools, and a safe space to feel more connected, prepared, and supported during this stage of life.
Postnatal Group
Support for the transition into motherhood
Our postnatal group is designed to support mothers during the early stages of life with a new baby — a time that can be beautiful, tender, exhausting, and emotionally complex all at once.
The postpartum period often brings significant change, including shifts in identity, relationships, routines, emotional wellbeing, and confidence. This group offers a calm, supportive space to explore those experiences, gain practical tools, and feel connected to others who understand this season of life.
The postnatal group is intentionally small and welcoming, creating a gentle and supportive environment where mothers can feel seen, validated, and less alone. Babies are welcome to attend, and sessions are designed to feel both supportive and realistic for this stage of motherhood.
The postnatal group includes:
A warm, supportive small-group environment
Weekly wellbeing check-ins
Psychoeducation on common postnatal emotional experiences
Practical strategies to support coping and emotional wellbeing
Facilitated discussion and shared reflection
Space for connection, validation, and community
This may be a good fit for you if…
You are navigating the postpartum period and would benefit from emotional support, practical guidance, and a gentle space to connect with others who are also adjusting to life with a baby.
Our Approach
All Feel Good Psychology services are grounded in a warm, holistic, and evidence-based approach to care. We believe that support should feel thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply individualised — never one-size-fits-all.
Whether you are attending individual therapy or joining a group, our goal is to help you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported while building the insight, skills, and confidence to move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Medicare & Private Health Rebates
Eligible clients may be able to access a Medicare rebate for psychology sessions under the Better Access Initiative.
To access Medicare rebates for individual therapy sessions, you will generally need a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your GP, or a referral from an eligible psychiatrist or paediatrician.
Eligible clients can currently access Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year, with a rebate of $98.95 per session for sessions with a registered psychologist.
Medicare rebates may also be available for up to 10 eligible group therapy sessions per calendar year, with a current rebate of $36.85 per session.
Please note that Medicare eligibility and rebate amounts are determined by Medicare and may change over time.
If you have Private Health cover, you may also be eligible to claim a rebate for psychology services depending on your level of cover. As this varies between providers and policies, we recommend contacting your health fund directly to confirm your eligibility.
Self-Referrals Welcome
At Feel Good Psychology, you are welcome to reach out directly to book an appointment — no referral is required. While a Mental Health Treatment Plan may be needed if you would like to access Medicare rebates, it is not necessary to begin therapy.
